A big thank you to everyone who attended Benny’s Lost 80s Bash! It was a truly magical, once in a lifetime event.  We would like to thank all the bands, the sponsors, the volunteers and the incredible folks from OCC and most of all, the fans!

We would also like to apologize for the delay in opening the doors.  Due to circumstances out of our control, we had to make a choice between opening the doors on time or having some bands not be able to play; of course, we didn’t want anyone to miss a single band!  (An announcement was made which we understand not everyone heard, in the future we will do a better job spreading the word).

There are so many people to thank that the list could go on forever.  We need to single out some special people: Lori Myers at Geico of Syracuse, Doug and Tammie Lalone at the Gem Diner, and Gary Crisalli at GM Crisalli and Associates, who all stepped up and made this event possible.

Of course, we need to thank Rob Juarez and The Boss Booking Agency; the incredible bands who performed last night–A Flock of Seagulls, Naked Eyes, Tommy Tutone, Dramarama, Animotion and Christopher Anton; and the crew from Wizzard Sound who made everyone sound so awesome! And of course Benny and the Hurricanes who created this event.

We would like to send a special thank you to the entire Baldwin family for all their love, support and inspiration.  Always remember the Carol’s Wonderful message – “Together We Will Find A Cure!”

PS – We will get pictures up soon!

IMPORTANT:  Due to the continuing predictions of thunderstorms throughout the Syracuse area tomorrow, we have made the very difficult decision to move the show inside SRC Arena on the OCC Campus.  We want to make sure that the show happens and that everyone has a wonderful and safe time.  SRC Arena is very large and can accommodate over 6,000 people.  We hope there is enough room for everyone, but please arrive early to guarantee admittance.  VIP Ticket holder are guaranteed admittance no matter what.

Robert is the co-writer of “Into The Night” and had a top-20 hit on his own with “No Easy Way Out,” (from the Rocky IV Soundtrack) which he will be performing with Benny and his band!

It’s the first time Benny and Robert have appeared together in Syracuse since 1989! Benny fans, you don’t want to miss this!

This is the second year of the Bash, and this year will be even more amazing!  We have put together a once in a lifetime show, featuring 80s legends such as A Flock of Seagulls (I Ran/Space Age Love Songs), Naked Eyes (There Is Always Something There to Remind Me/Promises Promises), Tommy Tutone (867-5309 Jenny), Benny Mardones (Into The Night/Sheila C) and more!

Just like last year, 100% of the profits from the show will go to the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Reserach Fund of CNY.  All of the organizers of the event work for free.

You can pick up free general admission tickets at Geico of Syracuse (while they last) located at 2735 Erie Blvd E, Syracuse, NY 13224.

Click here to find out their hours as well as information about VIP Tickets and the Eat & Greet event with the bands.

If you are coming in from out of town, we recommend you stay at our official hotel, the Maplewood Inn in Liverpool, NY.  There will be a shuttle to take you from the hotel to and from the Bash, and The Maplewood Inn is offering a special room rate for guests attending the Bash.  Click here for information.

We would like to say a very special thank you to all our sponsors.  This event would not be possible without their support. The people at Geico of Syracuse, Y94, The Gem Diner, and Gary M. Crisalli & Associates have gone above and beyond in their support and deserve special recognition.

We can’t wait to see you August 2nd at OCC/SRC Arena.  It promises to be a amazing event (dare we say, totally bitchin’!).
